WHAT'S NEW: Week of 2/3/13
We are beginning our new unit on The Odyssey. Please see the Epic Poetry Unit Overview for general information and check back regularly for updates.

This e-mail is to inform you that there has been a slight change to our class calendar. When I first planned the dates for literature circle meetings, I included Wednesday (Case Rally Day) as a "B" Day, when, in fact, it was actually a "nothing" day because no classes were held. "B" Day is actually this Monday (December 2nd). Of course, this shifts all the December days around from what I had initially anticipated and necessitates that some changes be made.

Therefore: 

MONDAY, DECEMBER 2nd, B Day- Lit Circle Meeting #4 (this did NOT change)
MONDAY, DECEMBER 9th, G Day- Lit Circle Meeting #5 (switched from Tuesday 12/10)
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17th, E Day- Final Lit Circle Meeting (switched from Monday, 12/16)

Also, this means that during the last week before Christmas break, we only have 3 class meetings (you're very sad about this, I know ;) on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (E, F, and G days). So that week, TUESDAY the 17th is the FINAL LIT CIRCLE MEETING. Then we are still going to have project presentations on WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY, DECEMBER 18th and 19th. However, the formal assessment on your books is going to be modified as something you take home with you and bring back completed after break. 


THESE CHANGES MAINLY AFFECT THE LIT CIRCLE MEETINGS/PROJECT. BOOK BLOG DUE DATES REMAIN AS THEY WERE ORIGINALLY POSTED.
